After moving back to my hometown from Canada, my husband and I begin daydreaming about owning a home. Being newly-weds with new jobs and because my husband is Canadian, we knew it would be a challenging road ahead of us. We are so thankful for meeting Cory Mason who helped make our dream a reality. My husband and I attended the new home buyer’s presentation offered at Equity Reach Mortgage, and we soon started seeing a clear path to home ownership. This path was created by Cory Mason. Cory’s presentation opened our eyes to many options we never knew were available for us. We soon started our search for the perfect home, and it was so comforting to have Cory understanding what we needed in a house now and looking into the future. We ended up falling in love with a new development in the 5 cities and had found our dream home. The paperwork for our loan was immensely complicated due in part to an abrupt change of loan types from CalSTRS to an FHA. The Canadian credit system is not compatible with the US FICO system and my husband’s credit history could not be used. This created a situation where additional documentation was required with a co-signer. With so many changes and paperwork, Cory was able to clearly and effectively handle the documentation needed in a very short time period, allowing us to secure the best loan rate possible. Through keen negotiation skills Cory secured our home for us, even with the extended escrow time we needed. Because of Cory’s ability to communicate with all parties, our complicated situation became straightforward for both my husband and I to handle.
